One National One Vote will work to enact the National Popular Vote Compact in the remaining states that have not yet joined. We will work with interested legislators to introduce and pass the Compact. And we will try to take the issue to We the People through the ballot initiative in states that allow it. Through the ballot initiative alone, we can cross the 270 electoral vote threshold needed to enact the Compact. Polls have consistently shown widespread support for replacing the Electoral College with a national popular vote. Where we can, we will use the ballot initiative process so that the people in each state can decide whether they want a national popular vote.
